conspectus - noun - a general sketch or survey of a subject
John is particularly good with this word. Consider all the times he has provided the list with interesting information over some topic related (and sometimes not) to the word he posts. Props to you, my friend.

Thanks for the kind words, and may I point out that you're no slouch yourself in that department. I have often pointed you out as being my idea of a Renaissance Man, in the sense of Jack of All Trades, Master of One. The Greeks had an idea that the well-rounded man gave equal weight to the physical, spiritual, and intellectual sides of life.
Shamefully, I have always neglected the physical, and thus have failed to attain to the Greeks' - and my - ideal; that doesn't seem to apply to you.
As for my commentaries, I think of them as invitations to look further into things I've found interesting. I can't understand how anybody ever gets bored in such a fascinating universe.
